Yorkshire-based Smart Garage Solutions, a provider of software and equipment that allow independent garages to create, review and send HD quality personalised customer videos, has signed up as a Strategic Partner of the Independent Automotive Aftermarket Federation (IAAF).
Formed in 1930, the IAAF is the only trade association that lobbies on behalf of the independent automotive sector as a credible alternative for vehicle service and repair, providing support to its members through a variety of products and services, which are provided as part of membership.
Members interests are protected by the activities of the IAAF, with their views and opinions clearly expressed to the various bodies whose activities affect the day-to-day running of an aftermarket business. The IAAF has regular contact with a wide variety of government departments including: DVSA, DfT, DEFRA, BIS, DCMS; plus the many statutory agencies such as Health & Safety Executive, Environment Agency and Trading Standards Institute. On the international front, the IAAF is a member of FIGIEFA, who are the European Association of parts distributors. Through them they have direct access to the European Commission and other international bodies.
As a Strategic Partner, Smart Garage Solutions will provide IAAF members with regular expert commentary on the use of technology to create a convenient and customer-centric experience. They will also offer members preferential rates on its My Service Trust product, which is used by service garages to convert more urgent work by enabling technicians to show the legitimacy of the repair work whilst breaking down any technical boundaries through the use of video.
Representatives from Smart Garage Solutions will also speak, host and attend regular networking events, sharing knowledge and expertise on the benefits to the automotive industry of embracing the shift from a product driven to a customer-centric approach in order to drive customer loyalty and trust, as well as adapt to changing customer behaviour and expectations.
